Background:
Emerald was born in the Casino Night Zone to a pair of gambling parents. They gambled and gambled until they were dead broke and in fact... in debt. When Emerald was 13, her parents sold her in order to pay off a debt and still continued gambling. But Emerald escaped and was taken in by a couple who loved her. The couple was poor, so Emerald learned to pick pockets in order to buy extra things. The parents didn't approve, but didn't stop her either. She got great at it. Her other passion kicked in at the same time and she sang a lot at Karaoke bars. When Emerald was 20, however, Robotnick took over and she fled. For years she went from one place to another, constantly evading Robotnick as he slowly spread his influence over Mobius. Finally, when she was 25, she landed in Channelwood and has stuck with them since.


Personality:
Having developed a facade so well that even she believes it, Emerald is a rather cheerful person who always looks on the bright side of life. Emerald is very emotional and so without this cheerful front, she would fall apart and possibly try to kill herself. She finds it very gratifying to cheer others up and loves to make friends.


Abilities:
1.) Racial Attributes - Emerald has all the abilities listed for foxes in the race section. ("Loyalty", "Feral Call", "Pack Mentality", "Good Hearing" and "Very High Reflexes")

2.) Singing - Emerald has a pretty, cute voice and she can use it to make beautiful music.

3.) Sleight of Hand - As a child, Emerald learned pick-pocketing and got very very good at it. Today, she uses this to do "the hand is quicker than the eye" tricks both for entertaining people... and for personal use.

4.) Casino Knowledge - Emerald tends to know her stuff about things concerning poker and other gambling stuff. She knows the rules, how people can cheat and various advanced techniques.

5.) More than Meets the Eye - Emerald picked up on a little bit of this and a little bit of that from her travels. While she is no master, she knows enough to functionally use:

    A.) Acupuncture - Emerald knows how to numb or cause pain in a few spots.

    B.) Winter Survival - Emerald knows how to survive extreme cold conditions.

    C.) Cartography - Emerald traveled many places for those years... and learned to use and make maps.

    D.) Mobian Lore - Her most important and least mentioned "ability" is the fact Emerald knows a LOT about Mobian lore. She knows all about the legends of Mobius, how they work, which ones are real and which ones are not.

6.) Linguist - During her years as a wandering, budding archaeologist, Emerald learned to pick up on deciphering ancient languages. She continues this practice beyond the coupe and today, knows about 4 languages including the common language (Mobian).


Weaknesses / Limitations:
1.) Heavy Burden - Emerald knows secrets that could potentially end the war, but is far too scared to ever use or tell them to anyone. This also prevents her from going on missions for the most part since she fears being captured could lead to the end of the world... forever.

1.) Needles - Emerald has needles hidden in her fur. Mostly for lock-picking, but also for acupuncture.

2.) Thief's Jacket - Emerald wears a grey jacket that is LINED with pockets on the inside.
